Laser Resources, a locally-owned Iowa company, is proud to be the contracted vendor for all multifunction copiers on campus at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. We have been an official vendor since 2012 and was awarded the vendor contract in December 2014. If your department is looking to save money and improve efficiency with a multifunction copier that prints, copies, scans, and faxes, we will help you find the best fit for your needs.

So how do you go about finding the best MFP for your department?

1) Research

Check out our catalog on the Iowa State University Purchasing website. This pricing has been especially negotiated for ISU and is significantly reduced from standard MSRP. Look through the catalog to see what your department would need in terms of print speed, finishing options (stapling or hole-punch), paper capacity, and even fax capability.

As always, if you have questions, you can contact campus representative Thomas Lashier at and he will be happy to walk you through the choices. He will also be happy to show you equipment already on campus so you can see a live demonstration.

2) Select

After researching the copiersĀ in the University catalog, make your selection and approve it with the key users within your department. Contact the ISUĀ Purchasing office to move forward with the order, or simply go to CyBuy!

3) Order The Equipment

At ISU, you can now order your new MFP through CyBuy! Choose the correct model and finishing accessories to order online (if you have questions, ask Thomas!).

Once the order has been confirmed by Laser Resources, we will order the equipment.

4) Delivery, Installation, and Training

After the order is placed, it typically takes around 2-3 weeks for the equipment to arrive in our offices to be set up and tested. After that, we will schedule an installation time that is convenient for you and your staff. Installation usually takes about 45 minutes, with user training taking 10 minutes. Then, you’re ready to use your new multifunction copier!

And that’s it!
