Laser Resources, a copier, printer, and mailing solutions provider in Urbandale since 1991, has experienced rapid growth over the past 12 months. Once a Des Moines-based company serving only central Iowa customers, Laser Resources now serves all of Iowa through growing partnerships with international brands and the addition of respected local industry experts. Laser Resources (LRI) has hired nine additional employees just since May 2013, increasing their workforce by 20% in the past year.
Being sought after by respected manufacturers has fueled LRI’s growth. From offering just one copier and printer brand (Xerox) in 1991, the local company now partners with six of the nine most popular copier and printer brands in the United States. In the past year, LRI was authorized throughout the state of Iowa by international industry leaders Canon and Konica Minolta. On top of that, LRI is one of only two authorized Toshiba dealers in Iowa and an authorized dealer for popular Lexmark and HP printers.
Expanding beyond printers and copiers has also led to growth for the company. In May of 2013, LRI became an authorized dealer of Pitney Bowes mailing equipment and solutions throughout the state of Iowa. LRI is the only independent company in the state to be an authorized dealer for the mailing giant. Pitney Bowes is the world leader in mailing technologies, and their inserters, postage meters, envelope printers, and software is now available to Iowans with local service and support from Laser Resources. Previously, Iowa customers had to rely on Pitney Bowes’ corporate support.
As LRI has expanded throughout Iowa, the company has been busy hiring local industry experts to meet the needs of customers in their growing market area. LRI has added some of Iowa’s most experienced professionals in the printing and mailing industries, including regional representatives from nationally respected companies such as Xerox, Ricoh, and Pitney Bowes.
Laser Resources was founded in Urbandale in 1991. The company has expanded it’s product family from production printing equipment to now include multifunction copiers, desktop printers, mailing solutions, managed print services, facilities management, document workflow management software, professional services and analyst support, and managed network services.
